I don't know if there are any other board gamers out there in Oppo or not, but I just can't contain my excitement about this one. I'm extremely jealous of anyone who made it to Gen Con and picked up a copy for themselves or go to play through during the Con.
As the captain of a Firefly class transport, you must take on jobs, any job will do as long as it pays, while avoiding the Alliance and Reaver threats. Basically you have to complete goals for whatever scenario you picked to play. First to accomplish the goals wins. Crew, gear, and ship upgrades are available for purchase and will assist you in accomplishing your goals. All this includes a strong Firefly theme as you would expect.
Anyone out there have a Gen Con copy or impressions they would like to share?

Yep, I board game a good bit. Haven't tried this one yet, though. Might get it for my younger brother (big Firefly fan) for Christmas.

My sisters and I are big fans. I pre-ordered my copy and every time we play I think I'll wear my Jayne hat. Unfortunately, the guys I usually game with aren't really into Firefly. Oh well, maybe the game will convert them.

I have a Jayne hat antenna decoration on my Benz. Once got waves and attention (briefly) from hot girls in a BMW 3-series because of it - took me a second to figure out.

But it would be a bit of a waste, I have nobody to play it with.
I'll probably pick up the bound books of the Firefly Serenity comics. I am not a huge comic guy, but I am a browncoat, so...
